The Restoration Process

Metal Work / Fabrication

The initial paint strip and metal work stage is an essential foundational element to the restoration process. All rust, holes and imperfections to the metal work are repaired or re-fabricated. As well as repairs, high quality metal work also ensures perfect dimensions for all the panels and joins to make sure that during the refit process all doors, windows and other parts align perfectly, with consistent door/panel gaps throughout.

Chassis

As the chassis and associated parts are the main structural component of the vehicle, it is integral we are able to detect and then repair any damage, rust or any other fault that could cause structural weakness. We always strive to go one step further, that is why even the chassis’ we restore have a concours quality finish, despite being completely unseen after final refit. However, a brochure with photos of every stage is produced upon the cars completion.

Bodywork and Paint

Once all metal work and structural elements are completed, its then up to our experts in the body shop department to perfect the edges and overall shape of the body, in preparation for a concours paint finish. We strive for absolute perfection with the body work, something we are renowned for within the restoration industry. Our experts are meticulous with their work to ensure we uphold our reputation as one of the best Coachwork restorers in the country.
